Meet our Founder – Stephen Aboasu

Stephen Aboasu, the driving force behind SunShine Innovation, boasts a strong engineering background, holding a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Stephen’s expertise in the semiconductor industry and his standout skills and problem-solving acumen define him as an outstanding professional. Beyond engineering, Stephen is a certified drone pilot, blending technical expertise with hands-on experience. The dual proficiency makes him as a leader finely aligned to both technological intricacies and the practical needs of drone users and outdoor enthusiasts.

Founding Journey

During his time at university, Stephen noticed a significant number of inactive solar farms despite growing social initiatives and government support. His curiosity led him to uncover the challenge known as the “duck curve” in solar power production—a timing imbalance between peak demand and solar power generation. Determined to bridge this gap, Stephen founded SunShine Innovation.

At SunShine Innovation, we understand the disruption challenges faced by drone schools, drone surveyors, outdoor enthusiasts, and climate enthusiasts. Our solar charger addresses common issues such as disruptions during recharging, the inability to charge devices while in use, and the complexity of traditional recharging setups.
